The UGL is located in the heart of the Lorraine Regional Park, so it is a very popular nature stopover. Located not far from Nancy and Metz, the cultural, artistic and historical heritage is at your feet, or within reach of bicycle pedals.

To help you discover our beautiful region, here are some indications or suggestions for visits and walks that we love!

Come to UGL by bike!

You have undertaken a bicycle raid, and you are going up the course of the Moselle in several stages. on the grounds of the UGL – Le Cardinal, there is always a place for your tent, the kitchen and the BBQ are at your disposal to prepare your meal if you wish and the kitchen is not overbooked and we can help you out for a simple meal if the surrounding stores are closed.

And we love hearing your travel stories, we also have some in stock to share with you during a convivial moment!

Little Switzerland

5 pretty Lorraine villages with hilly landscapes and green meadows form the little Switzerland of Lorraine. These are Griscourt, Gézoncourt, Martincourt, Rogéville and Villers-en-Haye.

A lovely bike ride to discover them and picnic along the Esch! To discover very close to the Le Cardinal field!

If you are a nature lover, a walk in the Forêt de la Reine is a must.

The NATURA 2000 forest extends over approximately 5,000ha and includes more than ten natural forest ponds.

Ride to Liverdun

A fortified medieval city overlooking a loop of the Moselle, Liverdun was the summer residence of the bishops of Toul. Its history can be read in its monuments and remarkable places. And Liverdun’s specialty, its famous madeleines, the best in the WORLD (dixit Babette)!
